In the world of interactive learning, Boom Cards have become an invaluable resource for educators, parents, and students. As a Publisher, you have the opportunity to contribute to this thriving community and make a significant impact (as well as make money)! To ensure your Boom Cards get the recognition they deserve, it’s essential to pay attention to a few key elements.
In this guide, we’ll explore how to create Boom Cards that shine, sharing best practices, from bios to deck details and acknowledgments. These tips do double duty, since they’re also the requirements to be featured. You have several ways to get featured: our email newsletter, the featured section of the Boom Store, Pinterest, Instagram, and Publisher Profiles. Learn how to get featured on Boom Learning!
Craft a Compelling Bio: Showcase Your Credentials and Experience

Your bio is your introduction to the Boom community. It’s not just your name and profile picture; it’s your chance to establish credibility and trust.
Share Your Credentials: Mention your educational background, relevant certifications, and any teaching experience. This reassures customers that you’re a qualified and knowledgeable creator.
Highlight Your Expertise: Explain your areas of expertise. Whether it’s math, science, language arts, or any other subject, let users know what your area of focus is. Give ranges of how long you have been delivering services, such as “over 20 years of classroom experience” or “over 5 years of professional speech and language therapy.” You can share additional interests, so long as you make clear what your store contains if it is different from your additional interests. For example: I create literacy materials for Pre-K to 2nd grade. When I am not creating Boom Cards, you’ll find me homeschooling my 1st, 3rd, and 5th grader.
Tell Your Story: Share your journey, your passion for education, and why you create Boom Cards. A personal touch can make a big difference in connecting with your audience.
Tagging Your Resources
Use Relevant Subject Tags: Failure to provide credentials will result in your store being suspended and/or banned.

- “Speech and Language” is for trained speech-language pathologists
- “Occupational Therapy” is for trained occupational therapists
- “Religious Studies” is only for materials that teach theology
- “Special Education & ABA” is for trained special educators and ABA specialists
- “Reading” is for people trained in teaching reading
- “English as a Second Language” is for people trained in teaching English as a second language
Authors found misrepresenting their training and skills will be BANNED.
Use Accurate Grade Level Tags: Plainly state the grade levels that your Boom Cards are designed for. Avoid overtagging, which can leave customers feeling unsatisfied with search results. Indicate whether your materials are for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, university, or adult. The adult tag is for adult learners who are not university-level, such as transition students. We recommend using the tag “not grade specific” for any content suitable for a large range of grade levels.

Designing Cohesive Branding and Catchy Covers

Your deck covers are the first things potential users see. They should be visually appealing and reflect your brand.
Consistent Branding: Use consistent colors, fonts, and design elements in your covers and throughout your decks. This creates a professional and recognizable brand identity.
Eye-Catching Graphics: Use high-quality graphics and images for your covers. A visually striking cover is more likely to attract users. Please be sure to obtain proper licensing for any images used. This applies to both covers and decks. You must give credit in the acknowledgment section of your decks.

Clear Titles: Your deck titles should be descriptive and easy to understand. Users should know at a glance what the deck is about.
Detailed Deck Descriptions: What’s Inside?

The description is where you provide users with a clear understanding of what they can expect from your Boom Cards.
Here’s what to include—
Learning Objectives: Clearly state the learning objectives and goals your deck helps achieve. Wherever possible, include the educational standards—those are often used by buyers when they search.
Contents: List the topics or specific skills covered in your deck.
Interactivity: Describe any interactive features or optimizations, such as Drag-and-Drop, Voice Memo, Audio Instructions, Boom Live optimization, or Ink.
Benefits: Explain how your deck can benefit teachers, parents, and students. What makes it unique or particularly effective?
Keywords: Include relevant keywords in your deck description to improve search visibility. Think about what terms potential users might use to find content. For best discoverability, your keywords, titles, and descriptions should contain the words or phrases most likely to be entered by someone looking for a product. Please don’t keyword stuff (overuse and repeat keywords) in your description. It will not help you connect with customers. We recommend writing naturally. Word order matters in descriptions.
A Tip for Social Media – We love to share your social posts, but we have some legal limitations. We can’t share or repost images that show children’s faces or include music that we haven’t licensed. If you would like to see us repost images or videos with students, check out these instructions for sharing a publicity release with us. When you send us a video or image along with a publicity release from the student’s parents, we are very likely to share it!
