It’s back-to-school season, and teachers everywhere are shopping for supplies to last throughout the school year. You can make your money (or resource credits) go further by shopping for sale items in the Boom Store.
How Do I Find Sale Items?
Make sure to put the hashtag and sale phrase into the search bar in the Boom Store. For example, last year, publishers offered a sale with the hashtag #BoomBlackFriday. For that sale, you would enter #BoomBlackFriday into the search bar, followed by any additional refinements. The current sale (August 8-9, 2023) can be found by searching #BoomBTS. We’ll let you know via email and social media what hashtag you should be searching for in order to find a discount. You can also follow your favorite publishers on social media to see when they’re participating in a sale.
How Do I Refine My Search?
You can refine your search by applying a filter, which can be found on the left-hand side of the screen if you’re on a desktop.
You can also sort the result by price, publication date, or people you’re following.
Keyword Refinements
In addition to the hashtag, you can type more keywords into the search bar to find activities on particular themes or subjects. If you want to search for a phrase, like “WH Questions” or “Graphing a Triangle,” you can put the phrase in quotations. Otherwise, anything you search will pull up results for natural language variations. The word “play” might connect you with results for similar topics like “playing,” “players,” “played,” etc.
If you don’t find what you want on the first try, you may want to add or remove filters or try phrasing your search in a different way.
Why Use the Hashtag?
Whatever you do, don’t forget the hashtag! That will be your secret passcode to big savings!
